Newsweek issue May 17,1999 has a very interesting article about the ATT takeover of Media One. "Bell of the Brawl", couple mentions of ATHM, couple of broadband, several about AOL. I think this qualifies as a non spam post....lol newsweek.com

Thanks Firenza, Thread, In an attempt to do what I said I would do, with respect to clarifying some distortions and myths, I used one of Hiram Walker's posts as the medium to both answer some of his questions, and at the same time paint a long litany of cable modem architectural issues. This, combined with my earlier VoIP over cable post this evening, should bring me close to where I want to be on this issue for the time being. Some more needs to be said about a whole slew of topics, the nature of HFC, in particular, but this should do it for now.
