Causality is clearly in doubt here, and the risk isn't so bad.

Littleton (and Atlanta) are perfect examples of why things aren't going poorly with guns. Sure, these are horrific events, but when you consider the # of kids w/guns at schools, then the assessable risk scenario shows that there is no correlation between guns at school and school shootings. In fact, most school shootings, it is now becoming clear, were performed by kids who DIDN'T carry guns to school prior to their crime.
As usual, people overreact to the situation where it is an exception that proves the rule.
