Most people aren't in that situation because they don't choose to put themselves in a position to do so. Most people live in the Third World in dire poverty. Even in the United States, there are plenty of people with limited opportunity who have accomplished something if they become an assistant manager at K- Mart by the time they are 35. The idea that we are supposed to ignore circumstances because anyone can be affluent with a little hard work and planning is unfaithful to reality...
