I know that if I worked at a brokerage, I would screen each client for percentage gain over a given amount of time. I would find the "hot hands" and set up an alert... Every time this person placed an order, it would set off bells, whistles and alarms. I would buy what ever that person was buying... no questions asked, no DD, no looking at charts, reading news, calling the company or contacts.... I would just place the order.

These people do this at every brokerage house. I don't think there is anything illegal about it... Only if they placed their order ahead of the client's order.
