jlallen,

I was reading the Washington Times this morning, and several congressmen/women were expressing disgust at Bejing's blatant Anti-US propaganda campaign. The crux of their comments dealt with concerns over WTO trade status and human rights, both key issues with democrats (and most republicans I might add).

Anyway, Bejing had better play this carefully or they may face a backlash that drains their economy of even more investment from Western sources.

As I've stated before, China has a huge trade surplus with the US and that can QUICKLY become an issue here in congress in such a way that BOTH sides find events spiraling out of their control.

The key to brinksmanship is knowing when to step back.

Regards,

Ron
