The hardware specs will change rapidly, but a low end machine
used to be sub $1000. Now they are going sub $700 or even $600.
I know two people who have purchased E-machines and both were replaced within a month as being unusable. I don't know what Officemax conciders a low end machine, but there is still lots of demand for quality, high performance computers.

when you strip all the profit at all levels allowing only the consumer to win, there exists no reason to stay in that market. such a move will cause the market to drift upwards to higher average unit prices and profit..

my friend...if your competitors were offering their cement work below your cost, how long could you survive by losing money on each job..what's more important: maintaining a market presence at a loss,ultimately closing your doors, or being selective and only doing jobs that are profitable for those who appreciate your quality workmanship, reliability, and know that you will come back if the slab cracks within a few years....good luck, from another capo tosti...ed a.
