The mistake Novell made, was releasing it too soon, while full of bugs, and few features to upgrade the existing base, and no one to take advantage of the features, ie partnerships, etc, that almost
cost them the game...

How do you explain that major NetWare customers such as Continental Airlines, Taco Bell, First Union Capital Markets, etc. have switched from NetWare to NT if NDS is so great?

How do you explain that NT has over 1000 REAL applications (ERP, Accounting, Banking, Healthcare, etc.) integrated with it's domain based directory (security, logging, performance monitoring, etc.) and NDS while around for 8 years has a just a few dozen?

How do explain the NetWare proprietary approach when I have to put Novell code on every platform for interoperability while NT provides native interop with no code additions to foreign platforms?

How do you explain that Novell will continue to subject their customers to transitional pain as the DS database is ripped out (NDSv8), the application architecture is replaced(JVM and Websphere) and even the current OS kernel is trashed (modesto) while Win2000 will continue to run NT apps with a DS database that has been in large scale production use at locations such as NATO and the US defense messaging system (over 600K users)?

How do explain the value proposition for NetWare when all it can do is manage lan users and access to file and print when NT can be the single point of administration for a large portion of a businesses applications as well as lan, internet, and host access?

Please base your posts on something more than hyperbole and that bad, this good babble.
