Hi WB -- hope you're feeling better minute by minute!

Story brought tears to my eyes. Reminded me of an "ugly" cat I rescued in gradeschool from boys in 6th or 7th grade class playing football with it. When I begged my mom to keep it after it "followed me home," she said why in the world do you want such an ugly looking cat? I told her because no one else wanted it. It had open sores all over its body from birds attacking it and one eye was damaged from maybe a bird attacking it. It walked with a limp (we ended up calling him Chester from Gunsmoke). But it was the most loving cat and its purring and cuddling were very soothing in some very trying times in that period. Even to this day, I'm a sucker for stray animals and the "ugly" ones always seem to find me.

Thanks for bringing back some good memories.

Ciao,
Jo.
