Yeltsin and Rubin are apparent non-events in the market. I guess 60,000 marines, political and economic anarchy in Russia, rising commodity prices, the normal summer slowdown, rising property taxes, and rising interest rates are also non-events, at least to the millions of retail investors of mutual funds, which are accumulating all of equity shares of the great American Economic Wonder Machine.
