I mention the Third World only to drive home the point that there are circumstances in which one can be mired. The next sentence says "Even in this country..." Anyway, opportunities do abound, but as I have said, there are variable sets of handicaps and obstacles, and there are differences in sheer fortune, and we shouldn't pretend otherwise. I don't mean to be repetitious, and I am willing to drop it, but it disturbs me that you keep asserting that affluence is just a matter of choice...
