The reason for the run up on the stock is simple. YOU can buy 6 shares of common, PLCO, at a massive discount by buying the preferred, PLCOP. I beleive there was a sell of the preferred but they appear to be gone now. The preferred trading at $2.25 should easily trade to $6 or $7 very quickly based on the conversion privilage alone.
