John, Do you have an idea of what they might be discussing at the meeting. Is it a post-mortem on the $1 biilion deal or is something new in the works?

PS: How do you know there is a meeting at all??

Today is the type of day where the Big Money is made via positioning...

FLC per John Doyle's comments is meeting with DLJ today; FLC being a former DLJ ''Top Pick''....hmmmm. John; how are you planning to buy your FLC ? ...maybe 1/3rd here; next 1/3rd limit buy at $8 5/8ths if we continue a retracement and sit on the final 1/3rd for either a fall below $8 5/8ths ($6 1/2ish ?) or add on strength on the way back up...?

RIG - the best risk/reward play in the patch. This company has no earnings equal here as compared to its price - RIG at $25-6 here is the ultimate no -brainer. we have a 50% upside to just $40 which is a gimmie; on just the sustainability of $16 Oil through year end and even with OPEC moderate/compliance - cheating (whatever you want to call it). Supply WILL be drawn down significantly even with sloppy OPEC compliance by Q1 2000. RIG will be a $40 stock by then even in a moderate negative-case scenario. That is a low, low risk 50% gain..... if anyone buys anything here - BUY RIG.

Even if RIG has some cancellations and 2000 earnings fall to $1.50 - tell me how RIG next year is still not a $20-25 stock worst case....a PE of 13 does it... the reasonable worst case scenario for RIG is poor OPEC compliance and we do not draw down supply levels to sustain $18+ crude untill Q1 2000 - so what ! a 9 month wait for a moderate/low risk, reasonable expectation of a 50%+ gain ?

OSX up allmost 2 points from intraday low... not bad.... CAm now up, RIG looking good.... I would love to see buying come in here.

CRK is the pure Gas play; must buy today - for a long/mid term hold.

GeorgeC; I ''aint'' waiting ; (but I AM picking & choosing very carefully VBG) for OSX 66 to get ''back'' in - RIG today in a good size chunk; I am sitting on nice profits in about 10 Gas stocks; sold a chunk of FXEN yesterday and bought RIG & more CRK today... lots of opportunity here... but, I would NOT rule out OSX 63-68ish... I hope we ramp to the moon here - My Gas stocks ride the same wave.... and I have RIG PGO FLC in good size here..

Now where are all of those ''bottom'' calls / predictions ? - C'Mon...
