In the San Francisco Area we had a television station "TV 20" which was owned by James Gabbert, who was Gay, but did a wonderful job managing and leading channel 20 to a very popular level. Very fun programming, that had great appeal here. He personally hosted a late night Movie House, where you could go down to the station and drink some Beer's @ the "Sleezy ARMS", and had breaks from the movies with live local bands, and some funnin' around. Real people, though, and very popular, locally. He kept the programming going with a live personal touch, with competive brodcast reruns and a few good off-beat
sit-coms and sci-fi! Live coverage of the Gay-Parade days, which were all shot in SF, done in a entertaining style, and the result of his efforts was to sell out to WARNER BROTHERS for $40 mil !!!!!
I'm not as familiar with Southern Calif. but you can be assured that there's no homophobia down there either, and James Gabbert's success in the North , with channel 20 in San Francisco, could easily be Duplicated, down there! And I'm sure they (GAAY) are familiar with Mr Gabbert's success in the North.

This is only the beginning folks, and this is CALIFORNINA!!!!

*****Gooooooooo GAAAAAAAAY!!!!
