Serious contract Intermagnetics extends pact with Philips Medical Intermagnetics General Corp. (Amex: IMG) of Latham has signed a 5-year agreement with Philips Medical Systems, part of Royal Philips Electronics of The Netherlands, under which Intermagnetics will be the exclusive developer and supplier of advanced superconductive magnet systems for Philip's magnetic resonance imaging medical diagnostic equipment. This agreement, the value of which is estimated at $350 million, is an early extension of a 3-year agreement signed in 1997. Anybody see American Superconducting and IMG hooking up?
