We need a good healthy suitor for LYCOS. Speculation may be that there is no one left after NBC announced their own deal and therefore LYCOS will be left hanging. In the short term a nice price for LYCOS would clear some air and add another notch to the CMGI barrel. In the long run I am not sure it makes a lot of difference.

IMHO

You and I are looking at this stock two different ways. I have options that expire in a week and a half

There are many facets which could cause LCOS up and CMGI down. Maybe because LCOS was down yesterday and needs to catch up while CMGI was up. We don't know exactly why the divergence, but I am sure it is not just MM manipulation (if any). I don't know what your situation is with your option, whether you are long or short.

In options, there remedies for some situation, like rolling the naked put to further month and taking advantage of the time premium. As edamo says, in option, you just take the money and run while laughing all the way to the bank . When expiry day approaches, time premium evaporates as fast as ice cube in hot summer days.

Good Luck on your investment.

RLM -- No skin off my nose. I guess I still don't understand whether your consistently negative views reflect wishful thinking or near-term fear. But then again, I guess it doesn't matter much. Good luck.
