This is for LAN only "local network switches", not for "to the home service". If it was to the home, it would be one of the most significant breakthroughs in communications technology. This companies stock would have risen 1000%, and @HOME would now be worth $2.00 a share. If it were to the home service at one gigabit per second, YOU COULD DOWNLOAD A FULL LENGTH FEATURE FILM IN LESS THAN 5 SECONDS!!! It will happen one day, just not today... or tomorrow. CEO of Cable Labs (the DOCSYS creator for cable) feels that 4 gigabits may be available in cable in 3-5 years regards Jay
