Because no new cabling infrastructure is required to deploy Gigabit over Cat 5 UTP copper, 1000BASE-T offers a tremendous cost savings to 3Com's customers. 3Com is the leader in converged network applications that combine voice, video, and data that consume ever greater bandwidth.
