re: E*Trade probs

Yeah I've had problems also. My portfolio is sssslow loading during market hours, but given enough time (it deceptively appears to hang), and it will eventually load. it will look like nothing is happening, like its stuck in the middle of loading something and it is hanging... then finally all at once it loads in all the way. Ya just gottta wait. Try switching off the graphics intense mode for a noticeable improvement. are you using an older browser?-that could result in the Etrade java not functioning correctly.

To Bayer: Boy, I've been doing a lot of trading in XCIT
during the past month or two also. Looks like the Big
money has come to love XCIT and ATHM-both held up
EXTREMELY well during the big sell-off in the internet
group the past several weeks.
As for Brokers I currently do most of my trading with
AMTD and throw NDB a bone every once in awhile. All my
trading is done by phone so I couldn't recommend their
prospective WEB sites. However, I can tell you that
AMTD is far and away the cheaper of the two DD Brokers
(12.00 vs 20.00 for phone market trades). As far as
ease of getting into the system both are good but NDB
is a tad faster.
One more thing, I noticed a small cup and handle forming
the past few days on XCIT. Looks like a move into the upper
160s should be in the offing tomorrow. Good Luck and may
the great AMTD or NDB (buy this stock) are yours!!!

Dennis:

I use AMTD online and it's working fairly well. It can be a bit slow in the first 30 minutes of trading but I am sure that's fairly typical. The reps are reliable and courteous and they are less expensive than others ($13 for a limit trade.) I also have Schwab but don't use it as much because of the cost.
