I'm with you.

The other problem is with stock option compensation. No one except bears and smart people (which are one in the same <g>) counts that part of compensation in their figures.

David: The reasons why the huge wage inflation for techie web designers does not show up in any inflation figures are 1) Their output isn't something that shows up in any basket of purchased products used to measure inflation, and 2) even if it was, no matter what their pay increases their employers don't raise the prices of the products created by them, because no one will pay anything much for a web page, and, as we know from Amazon, if you try to cover your costs, that means you haven't been "investing" enough in your business, which is bad for their employers' stocks.

See? No inflation.
