THQ SCORES AN ‘OWEN' GOAL

THQ TO PUBLISH MICHAEL OWEN'S WORLD LEAGUE SOCCER '99 ON NINTENDO 64

WOKING, Surrey. – May 07, 1999 - THQ International Ltd., the European publishing arm of THQ Inc. (NASDAQ NMS: THQI) today announced that it has signed an agreement with developer
Silicon Dreams to publish Michael Owen's World League Soccer '99 for the Nintendo 64 console.

The publishing agreement between THQ and Silicon Dreams covers worldwide publishing rights for MOWLS '99, and THQ is planning to publish localised versions of the title across Europe
during Quarter 3 '99 to coincide with the new football season in European countries.

Rob Cooper, General Manager, THQ International Ltd., commented, "THQ has always been a strong supporter of Nintendo and this signing further underlines our continued efforts for the
Nintendo 64 platform."

"As a European office, this is the second major title we have secured for the group as a worldwide publishing agreement and, as such, once more illustrates how our publishing methods are
incredibly attractive to third party developers wanting to break into the world market," he continued.

Colin Brown, Marketing Director, THQ International Ltd., commented: "Unsurpassed football realism and gameplay, together with the biggest name in the game, make this a ‘must-have' title for all
football-loving Nintendo 64 owners."

Gavin Cheshire, Managing Director, Silicon Dreams, commented, "The feedback for the title from the specialist press is already extremely positive. This coupled with THQ's enviable track record in
the field of N64 publishing will undoubtedly ensure the products success."

Rob Palfreman, Senior Producer for the WLS series and Operations Manager, Silicon Dreams, enthused, "MOWLS '99 contains in excess of 210 teams. These include international teams and
club sides, which have been taken from the major domestic leagues from Europe, as well as from the Japanese league and the US league. European clubs featured include sides from the English,
Scottish, Italian, German, Spanish, French and Dutch leagues, as well as others."

Specialist press comments include; N64 Pro: "MOWLS ‘99 has gone down a storm with PSX owners and judging by what we've seen so far of the N64 version, this should easily surpass it.";
Official Nintendo Magazine: "The version of MOWLS 99 we saw was early. Even so, it plays a mean game of football, and the tricks and flicks look smart."; Total N64: "It looks stunning, it
plays brilliantly and it will be here soon."; N64 Magazine: "For starters the graphics have been tarted up beyond all recognition and the game runs in pin sharp hi-res mode, with player models
much more realistic than the PSX version."
