Fortunately, today's investors think that way too.

They're willing to buy the stock now, on the basis of a press release, before they find out how it sells. These buyers aren't from the Peter Lynch school of investing, that's for sure. I guess that means we're in a speculative market.

Hey, maybe ATML and KOPN will be brought together someday by PRD.
Yesterday's Polaroid/Atmel news reminded me of their jointly developed CMOS image sensor. It was announced back in July 1997, but I haven't seen anything about it since. Polaroid must have it on the back burner ?

Integrated CMOS Color Imager System Chip:

The Atmel CMOS imager is a single-chip solution jointly developed with Polaroid. The device combines Atmel's design expertise with Polaroid's patented technology for pixel sensing, color filter processing and color recovery signal processing. It integrates all functions to capture and digitize color images and is suitable for a variety of imaging applications, including digital cameras, for the general market.
