Robert - (...How can the equities markets rally on news of Bob Rubin's resignation?...)

It's a removal of uncertainty. Mr. Rubin didn't quit in a live CNN interview saying that he could no longer live a lie and was soliciting bids on an advance for a tell-all book. -g-

Regards, Don

techstocks.com, There are two ways to play this mania. I have chosen the wrong path during the past 8 months. I bought puts on overpriced cos. The way of greater profits would have been to buy calls on the fluff, still using the 90/10 to protect myself when the crash appears. I just continue to think that sanity is about to reappear. It has appeared every other year during this mania, and the puts make huge profits when that happens, but it has been fairly absent since October. A few big winners are keeping me afloat, but, in retrospect, I wish I'd used the strategy I recommended in talk.techstocks.com. I just find it hard to bet on a bubble and against reality.

This wrong approach doesn't bother me much. It isn't the first time I've stood in front of a runaway train and with 90/10, I can't be hurt. I know the profits will eventually drown out any tiny losses taken during the interim. However, I sometimes wish I could be smart enough to keep my money mgt. discipline while suspending my brain while I invest like an idiot. <g>

Yes, I am still buying puts.
