Maybe this had something to do with the move, which I agree is long overdue: NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Biotechnology stocks got a boost Monday from optimism about favorable data presentations at upcoming medical conferences. BancBoston Robertson Stephens held a conference call Monday with investors to discuss the industry's near-term outlook. "Some of the better small-cap names will have increased visibility at upcoming conferences," including meetings on cancer, diabetes and organ transplants scheduled in May and June, said Jay Silverman, an analyst at the firm. Investors are also turning their attention back to small-cap stocks, Silverman also said. There aren't that many "organ transplant" stocks, and as we know it doesn't take much volume to move BTRN substantially. (Hell, used to be that 100 shares going at the bid instead of the ask could put it among the big movers for the day. <g>) Peter
