Re: chasing the 1/8th's....

Hey Rande and all...just a lurker dropping his 2c on the topic of chasing stocks.

I have my account with AG Edwards, not a discounter by any means, but I often look at my account and wonder if an etrade, ameritrade, etc. would save me money and I usually say "no." The reason for this is that I here time and time again about people on these boards with accts. with the discounters who miss a run - don't get their limit filled or just get screwed by their "discount" broker. With AG - I'm on the phone with my broker and we work the number together to get the trade "I" want. Look at it this way - you buy 500 shares of a $4.00 stock for $2,000 - if your "discounter" gets you a market order of $4 1/8 - you just dropped $62.50 - some much for the discount!!

Despite what all the ads say, I am comfortable with my "full service" account and always know what I am buying - afterall, it is MY money!!

Dave!
