Just read Chris Hitchens' book on Clinton, highly recommended, a scathing blast of Clinton from a liberal socialist. He points out that Clinton (to my benefit, but not a sign of good character) appeases the Left but serves the Right in many ways. Rubin/Morris is on one side of the equation, Steffy/Hillary/Reich on the other flank. I guess I'd rather have dishonest Clinton double crossing the Left than an honest Clinton listening to Reich. I don't like the choice between lying and wrong, but that's what Slick gives you.
