Speculation on my part...

Maybe this is too simple a way to look at the spread, but my thoughts are that the MMs do not want to sell you their shares...they want to buy yours (cheap!). Look at how many in the last couple of days have not had their limit orders filled. I have read it here and on RB.

The 150K the other day? I still feel that was one MM helping another.

I suspect the MMs are simply trying to stockpile shares in anticipation of the same thing we are anticipating...good news (for us).
