perhaps a need was identified and a decision made to work on it - after all of us harping incessently over the last 18 months...one can only hope that's the case, and that in the future needs will be identified a helluva lot faster!

Has anyone else noticed that Noam's tone is growing stronger in these Press releases and Conference Calls?.

And at the show he is either on the phone or in conference with "foreign looking techs or business men" but normally hovering 3 feet above the floor.

Yeah, I remember in the conference call when Noam stated that they were, "Dead Serious" about maintaining the technical lead in relation to FTTC. I wonder what else these guys have up their sleeve? So far the products have surpassed what I would have expected. They also mentioned another 'Enterprise' switch/router being developed in Chatsworth. I hadn't heard of that b4. Noams emphasis on MRV being the "only Pure Play" is certainly backed by the technical acumen represented in the slew of product releases. Wireless FiberDriver, AcceleRouter, CWDM, OSR8000, HyperChannel, MetroFusion, Arenea 1.....lotz of 'far out' stuff. Agree wholeheartedly with your observation as to Vertical Intergration being a strategic strength at MRV. Noam stated that the optics foundry & its products would be more technically involved than the passive components made by JDS, or the longhaul wdm optics by UNPH, afterall its not like we are an auto mfg trying to make all the tires, upholstery, glass, steel, ect... these optical lasers ect... are key & strategic to what we are becoming as the only "Pure Play", not commodities. Besides it makes CSCO, NN, NT, TLAB, et al good customers on our reference list.;-)
