Thanks to all for all the help. I actually elected to be represented by a CPA. Regarding my long term gains, they were in a separate account that had nothing to do with my trading account. Further, but for the relatively small long term gains, my only income was from my short term trading activities. Whether the IRS allows me to retain Trader Status is anybody's guess. Because I feel this is so important, it seemed most prudent to hire someone who knows what they're doing. Again, thank you for all the help. I really appreciate it. Paul Kaz
