t2K - as a curiosity, from a purely TA point of view, the fact that MSFT kept above 80, and the way it traded in the last 2 minutes today (there was a big attempt to drive it below 80, and the attempt failed on large volume) - is all pretty bullish.

Obviously, it's very volatile, but the price target depends on your time horizon. There are macro trends, subtrends, and micro-trends, which don't move in unison. Even if the macro trend is flat, there may be a micro-trend that goes up, and gives you a short spike etc.

Bottom line, I am holding my MSFT, and NOT selling. The long term is very bullish IMO, intermediate, unfortunately not, but I can always surf some microtrends for a quick trading gain. Today's late action was pretty bullish. All depends on how far down the road you are looking.

Good luck!

Tech, you have a little bit of logic wrong. MSFT has been underperforming for a few months now. It has not just started to underperform. So I am a bit confused at your statement that I decided to come out now. Take a look at the MSFt chart and tell me if MSFT has only recently been a dud.

You will never see MSFT in any other light other than through the eyes of a MSFT cheerleader. Unfortunately for you, you are SOOOO in love with this stock that underperforming is not an issue - even if it lasts for several more months - or longer.

But some people never learn one of the investment rules - Never fall in love with a stock.....

Ohh well!

Cheers anyways Tech!
