Absolutely! That just makes the interest rate that enchilada.com is charging even higher. If you could get their machine for $300, then the interest rate they're charging is closer to 75%. If it's less than $300, then the rate is even higher. I've looked at a number of these "free PC" deals and haven't found one yet that doesn't have an exhorbitant rate associated with it. But they're relying on the naivete of the average user (no offense intended, PK) to not realize this. Unfortunately, relying on your customers' naivete is rarely a formula for long-term success.

p.s. Papaya: Obviously you can't get both for free, since you have to take the net access over 3 or 4 years (depending on the vendor). But since they have to pay the manufacturer for the PC, you're mostly paying for the PC and getting the access for low cost (because it has a low marginal cost for them).
