Morgan, I missed out on that Rubin resignation trading opportunity. My wife had me go out to mow the lawn and the news broke after that. I would have bought the Dow (DIA) when the average was down 200 points. By the time I got back the stocks were on the way back.

Do you day trader from home (or another location) or are you a trader that places trades through one of the on-line brokerages. I had thought about setting up with a day trading firm but these services are only for non-retirement accounts in Canada since only American stocks are traded.
Most of my options trading in MSFT for the last 1 1/2 years has been in my retirement account and that is where I have been able to make a lot of cash (many times I had gone 100% invested in MSFT out of the money call options).
Therefore, I have started "day trading" my wife's retirement account with an on-line brokerage--using my account for longer term investing.
(Not much options trading anymore)

BTW--I am using the proceeds from selling MSFT for day trading opportunities. I might back some shares even as early as tomorrow depending on what I feel is happening with the stock price. I am just trying to time it. Hopefully I can make some money from my trades and get back into MSFt before it starts moving. I am convinced that the buyers are on the sidelines for the right time. It might only be as little as 1 or 2 weeks before it shoots up.

After typing this post, I feel i better get back in fast--at least buy back my core MSFT shares.

Morgan, I am having major regrets about selling MSFT shares. I am going to be buying in early tomorrow---I just hope it does not shoot up. I would not be surprised to see an 82+ if the economic report is not a factor.
