"What do posters think" You have basically a good plan. This month is tricker than most. AMAT may continue to rise until the day before earnings. A BTB above l.40 will give all stocks in this group another boost. If AMAT is trading about 65 or 67 when the BTB is announced a decision would have to be made wheather to go for the 65's at five or the 70's for 3.
A seconday consideration is the current strong rally in tech stocks, because of good earnings. CSCO and IBM earnings led ro surprising gains on the stock price. Its possible that history will repeat itself, because people will be paying just as much attention to DELL and AMAT on the same day.

A good covered call writer like yourself probably changes his mind about three times a day. The beauty of covered call writing is that if I get bored with a stock I just write a coved call against it to squeeze some juice out of it before we part company.
