UMC group 2000 sales seen at 120 bln twd: Tsao

TAIPEI (AFX-ASIA) - UMC group is expected to reach sales of 120 bln twd
next year, from target of 79 bln twd this year, Wealth news agency quoted group
chairman Robert Tsao as saying.
Tsao told shareholders at an AGM this morning that group flagcarrier United
Microelectronics Corp is seen churning out 25 bln twd of sales this year.
Company officials were not immediately available to comment.
At 10:32 am, UMC was steady at 51.00 twd on volume of 9.10 mln shares.

ALSC is firming up, the up/down volume ratio is ticking up. I'd have to check what ALSC is carrying BRCM and the fabs at, but I think it's fair to say, ALSC is very undervalued and does not reflect the potential of those investments.

Trident could rise again, no doubt. You made an excellent point on that.
