Thanks Denis, for your insights. It seems this acquisition might have some serious competitive implications- such as getting into the turf of companies like Siebel (Enterprise Relationship Management). Should be interesting if there comes a collision between the two in the future. Perhaps someone could shed more light on this aspect of the deal. In regards to the management's commitment to i2's success, I have no reasons to doubt that either. I did not mean to suggest this was a pricey acquisition, on the contrary, it seemed cheap compared to what internet software companies have been able to raise in the public market. HN
