Y2K and Gata are irrelevant to the gold market. Gata is no match for the central banks, investment bankers, etc.. The additional demand created by the y2k bug can easily be met by the 8000 tonne gold overhang that is restricting the market. What can and will effect the gold price will be bonds and the dollar. Their movement, at some point will be beyond the ability of the central banks to control. The process is beginning, however, it will take time.
