Hi Dan! Thanks for the info, I'll check it out and get back to you.

And actually, my mistake, I only have the problem on 1 notebook. The other has run into other "Dell" problems and I have'nt even got to the point of downloading Qcharts. Actually, I won't be downloading Qcharts on that notebook anyways.

Again thanks for the help!

BTY!

D.

Hi Dan,

When I place "spx.x +prem.x"

(minus the "s and there is a space between the x and the plus sign)

in the symbol box in the upper left corner of the QCharts page ,
I get what I want displayed on the chart.

When the same is typed in a quote sheet it comes out as

spx.x,prem.x

(no space and the plus sign is changed to a comma )

and nothing is displayed in the Last box.

Any ideas why ?

Hal

Hi Dan. So far no luck!

Message 9500683

The Dell latitude cpi's come with NT4 SP3. The MFC42.dll is way older and smaller. I contacted Dell. They do not have SP4 available on these notebooks yet.... I tried renaming the old dll file and copying the dll file off of my server which has NT4 SP4. (This was a acceptable effort according to Dell's service rep) No dice, same message. Dell's rep said I could try downloading SP4 from the internet, but they would not be able to guarantee anything after that. (Gee, thanks) They are still working on certifying these notebooks for SP4. I already sent a bug report to Qcharts! I am at a loss now! Anyways, any other ideas would be appreciated!

By the way, both laptops...same problem now.

BTY!
