Droogies, I loves ya. You opened an interesting door, I commend you.

The wheels are within wheels, in my bad-addled brain. Please do not be offended.

My first stock trade was when MIPS sent a defective load of chips to SGI. SGI's quarter was ruined, stock plummeted. I buy. MIPS figures it out, and sends SGI a truckfull of good chips. "SGI SALES DOUBLE!" WooHoo! Stock goes BOOM! I sell.

DOH! Of course sales doubled- they had that huge backlog. I bought a watercolor with the profits, by the way. Still look at it every day.

Now my new darling, IBM (Sheesh! If you told me back then IBM would be Apple's friend...) aces MIPS out of a $Billion. Just recently, too.

No need to feel defensive- it's all interesting bits and pieces.
