I seem to have misled you all, though I didn't MEAN to. I'm sorry. It is a Victorian STYLE house, but it's only about 16 years old. Still, -it does have trees, because there's an acre and a half and the builder left some and some were planted right away I guess. Wild willows grow plentifully and fast around here. We pretend the ditch through the property is a stream, which is it when it rains hard. And we've seen the white egret three times already this week. I guess he thinks it's a stream too. Myers brought in his first field mouse; I heard it squealing. It was only about an inch long and so terrified. I threw the cats out and got my mouse trapping shoe box. THe poor little thing was hiding under the couch, with his tail sticking out. So I just picked him up by his tail and took him out to the ditch. I hate that we're starting the great hunting season.
