Someone else may be able to convey this better than I , but here is my version
An ISP is the company that provides you with the access, orr connection to the internet....your access speed is controlled by the modem you have...28.8 or 56k etc...dsl is a way to connect to the isp...it can be as fast as 950k or as slow as about 150k...my speed is 325k which is about 6 times quicker than a 56k modem and verysimilar to a cable speed modem.....depending on who you talk to the difference in speed between cable and dsl is anywhere from no difference to either one can be quicker...that would depend on who you are talking to....perosnally I have never used cable so I cant say from personal experience
