Madera Herbs, Division of Madera International, Expands Herbal Supplements Line to Include Sixteen New Capsulated Products Made 100% From Rainforest Plants - The Product Additions Focus on Exciting New Sexual Boosters for Both Men and Women
CORAL GABLES, Fla., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Madera International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: WOOD - news) announced today that its fully-owned division, Madera Herbs, has approved the production of herbal supplements in capsules. Madera Herbs is introducing 16 new and exciting capsulated products this week that will be available for distribution to market by May 30th. The Company has contracted a top quality local pharmaceutical firm, Arnett Pharmaceuticals, who will do the final capsulation, bottling and labeling, of these new line additions, making several of these rainforest plant supplement products in the U.S.A. for the first time ever.

Ray Fernandez, Chairman of WOOD, stated that ''our natural products experts in South America have convinced us of the many advantages to producing our capsulated products in the U.S. for quality assurance and control, as well as market appeal. To avoid certain health claims until we are able to attempt an FDA approval and plant product patents, which I anticipate to occur before the end of August, we are now focusing on certain products that are proven sexual fortifiers and general energy boosters for both men and women. It seems that too much effort is expended by our competition in finding products that help men only, we are concentrating on these type products for both sexes. Suma, Catuaba, Guarana, and Iporuro have all been proven to have positive effects in increasing the sexual drive of both men and women, while Maca appears to be effective mostly in men and is increasingly compared to Viagra and Peruvian Ginseng. Our formulators are organizing a testing campaign in Brazil where the benefits from these products are to be documented and published.''

Madera International is a natural resources company involved in the environmentally sound harvesting of tropical hardwood timber and natural plant products, manufacturing those products derived from company-owned rainforest properties in Peru and Brazil and exporting these to the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean. The Company's operations, as well as those of its fully-owned subsidiaries Madera International Environmental, Inc., and Madera Herbs, are outlined in the companies websites at www.maderaintl.com and www.ownatree.com. Through local NGO's Madera channels 50% of its profits from the sale of Indian Tribal Crafts and Wares back to the tribes to better their welfare and education levels.
