AFTON MINES-DIAMOND DRILL PROGRAM DRC Resources Ltd (DRC.V) Website: www.drcresources.com E-mail: invest@drcresources.com Tel: 604 597 3775 President: John Kruzick DRC Resources has received a letter of acceptance from the Canadian Venture Exchange (CDNX) for it's filing of an agreement to buy 100% of the Afton Claim Group for which DRC will pay 2,000,000 common shares in stages over 6 years and will be committed to $6,500,000 worth of work over 9 years together with a 10% net profit royalty. The 6 km square Afton property located 10 km east of Kamloops, B.C. consists of the previous operating Afton open-pit mine from where 24 million tons were mined which recovered 450 million pounds copper and 400,000 ounces gold up to 1987. Afton Mines previous reports state that 10 million tons of open-pit "reserves" were not mined from the Afton ore zone and that surface stripping in the open-pit south-west extension had begun before abandonment in 1987, 1973 and 1980 diamond drilling tested the 90 meter thick Copper-Gold zone to 300 meters depth beneath the floor of the open-pit with which Afton calculated an "underground reserve" of 6,500,000 tons grading 1.55% Copper, 0.047 ozs/t Gold and 0.20 ozs/t Silver. The gross value of the open pit and underground resource is estimated at $450,000,000 (US) based on November 5, 1999 metal prices. A two-phase $700,000 Diamond Drill program recommended by J.J. McDougall (P.Eng.) in his Geological Report(*) will be started in early 2000. The program will test extensions of the open-pit tonnage and continuation of the higher-grade mineralized zone to depth. The Afton deposit is unique to North American porphyry deposits as the sulphide ore beneath the oxide cap is higher-grade than other comparable deposits. Drilling will test intersections of previous drill holes such as DDH80-4 which assayed 0.1 oz/t gold and 1.1% copper over 70 metres. There is good potential to substantially increase tonnage of the Afton zone since the higher grade sulphide zone is untested and open to depth. *Reference: J.J. McDougall, (P.Eng.)
