LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 1999--THQ Inc.
(Nasdaq/NM:THQI.O) takes on both sides of the law with the upcoming
release of "Felony Pursuit(tm)," an action-packed, urban-driving
thrill ride of the near future.
Developed by Polygon Studio of Paris, this fast-paced car-chase
adventure for the PC transforms players into police officers on the
beat or criminals on the lam in a thrilling cat-and-mouse adventure.
"'Felony Pursuit' takes place in the early 21st century, set in a
city with too many vehicles, too many criminals and too many laws to
enforce," said Michael Haller, senior vice president of THQ. "The
pressure cooker that our urban roadways has become finally blows in
this futuristic setting where cops and criminals run amuck."
"'Felony Pursuit's' ultra-realistic traffic patterns mirror those
of every major city in the world," said Therry Proto, product
development manager, Polygon Studio. "If the cops catch up with you in
the center of town at 8 a.m., you'll not only be maneuvering over
sidewalks through bumper-to-bumper traffic, but you'll be squinting
away the rising sun. We have focused on creating a complete
experience, not just another action driving game."
A cool head during high-speed pursuits and fast reflexes are the
keys to dominating "Felony Pursuit," as players learn the streets of a
city designed by European architects and urban planners. Complicated
traffic patterns, congestion, traffic lights, pedestrians, roadblocks
and a last-minute tip from the all-important police band radio can
mean the difference between a bust and a Mafia victory.
Rendered in an unmatched 3-D environment at up to 60 frames per
second, "Felony Pursuit" features more than 100 miles of
traffic-infested urban sprawl spread throughout seven islands
dispatched on more than 15 vehicles to control, realistic physics and
38 heart-stopping missions. "Felony Pursuit" is scheduled to ship in
winter 2000.

I'm loving all the press releases today. Looks like the lineup overview is geared toward my mom too... Roadrash is just a "motorcycle game" in the first section... you have to read all the way down to the individual title description before you get any idea there are weapons involved.

And Knights of Carnage, Marc? Nothing to worry about... it's just a king's daughter for pete's sake.

Thought this was funny:
