>>Hope that someone out there with a better grasp of computer software could provide us all with the market caps(and market caps to sales ratios) of companies that are in or have a similar type of specialized software to ADSN.<< Good Morning zwing, I have to apologize for my absence over the past while. I was having some extremely frustrating system problems that kept me off line for much longer than I expected. I now think that I have this problem licked, and I should be able to participate more to this (and other threads). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to pull up the market caps and sales ratios of ASI's competitors, but I think I may be able to provide some information that can get us started. I recall going to a number of trade shows where I made the rounds of the Time & Attendance booths, but that was a while ago. So, I to do it right, I had to do some digging. I subscribe to an excellent periodical that is called - Automatic I.D. News . This publication was of great use to me in my previous career, and I decided to maintain my subscription as it provides a excellent overviews as to what is happening in the world of Data Capture and the utilization of this information by companies. I read through some past issues and I came across a few articles that caught my eye. In future posts, I will be referring to some of their past articles as I believe they highlight why Advanced Systems International is so well positioned for the future. I also came across an article that lists some of the other Time and Attendance software providers. Re: Other Time and Attendance Software Companies (Note: This following list came from the March 1998 Automatic I.D. News issue, and as such is somewhat out of date. This list is also not a complete one. These companies may also have products which have been built on technology that does not compare directly to ASI's.)Campbell Software Time & Attendance, and StaffWorks Labor Scheduling are part of their Intelligent Workforce Management System.Out-of-the-Box - From Coastal Data ProductsAccu-Trak Wall Mount Time & Attendance System - From Doaun SoftwareLMPlus - From EAS Technologies Time Tracker - From Geneva SystemsJason Time Manager C/S - From Jason Data Systems Time Centre From Konetix Timekeeper Central - Integrated labor management solution from Kronos TimePunch - From Lexington Technology Einstime - From The Logical Choice Clock-IN! - From Mission Critical Software Physician Scheduler - From MSI SoftwareTimeLog for Windows - From Synel Industries Tym.Table - From TYM.IS The article that pre-ceded this list was written by Steven Skyles (VP of Marketing at Lexington Technology - makers of Time and Attendance software). It is very interesting to note that the last two sentences of this article provide a strong endorsement for Advanced Systems International's client server platform. Here is what he said . . . "Whenever possible, choose a software that is non-proprietary as possible. Avoid tying yourself to a single provider and limiting your ability to integrate with other applications." I am also aware of two other companies in this field. These are jeTech and Simplex. I don't know that much about these companies. What I find most telling are the testimonials that are included in each of ASI's new customer announcements. These are the people who are the ones making the actual purchasing decisions. These testimonials have been glowing. This tells me that ASI is distinguishing themselves well above the rest of the T&A group, and their product is in demand. I also believe that ASI is just getting warmed up! Crazy Canuk
