Which, in your opinion, is better.

From what I understand cable and DSL are close in their performance, Satellite and microwave connections are still in the development stages. The ideal IP connection would be high speed satellite connections. This will give you an I the option to be mobile anywhere on the globe and still use AOL. I saw someone in the last few days saying they were leaving the US on an extended trip over seas. They can't take their IP connection with them because they have a cable or phone line connection.

If you want a more technical answer I would suggest you ask RocketMan. He seems well versed in the more technical aspects of these evolving sciences.
