Globe says Nissan to use Ballard fuel cell in test model Ballard Power Systems Inc BLD Shares issued 83,319,317 1999-05-12 close $54.25 Thursday May 13 1999 The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, May 13, edition that Nissan Motor Co. has joined the fuel-cell club with an announcement that a Ballard Power Systems fuel cell is powering a test vehicle unveiled this morning in Japan. The Globe's Greg Keenan writes that Japan's second-largest auto maker says it has already begun driving tests of the vehicle and hopes to have a fuel-cell-powered vehicle ready for mass production and sale between 2003 and 2005. Nissan has not yet decided if Ballard fuel cells will power the mass-production vehicle.
