MCO, Thank you for asking, and you're right it's time to clear up the mystery of what "909" means, for you and others on this board. It's one of many such codes among tread denizens around SI - I apologize for us all that you had to ask. It should have been explained yesterday, but it's habit to sign off that way when Joe, Carolyn, and I talk. We met on the "Techride" thread, which is one of those friendly Coffee Shop forums where many other subjects as well as stocks and trading techniques are discussed. Techride is the first place The Lucky 909 Came To Roost. The origin was serendipity - when a "post grub" of #909 was simultaneous with another post...it coincided with the Winter Rally kickoff and a few other happy stock events. So from that day on, to wish "909" became automatic on that thread. It means Good Luck, "Hope Your Stock Doubles and/or Splits"... and the 909 Squared is when the stock Doubles, Splits, then the price goes back up to a double again! It was said on here from habit and to keep the CNXT momentum going... rather like not wearing a different outfit for golf when your game's on a tangent like CNXT is at present, etc.
