If you didn't get the shares .. what would be be the point of the stock trading at such a high price. No one would buy it. I bought LU after the record date when it was 118 ... and I got the shares. It does not work the same as a cash dividend. Sometimes you see a "wi" when you see the stock .. that means when issued. It's already figuresd into the price and I guess, for record keeping, has already been adjusted. But you DO get the shares.
