One point to add, CSCO buys these small companies when the time is right. I think of these small companies as R&D outfits that CSCO brings in house when the time and situation call for it.

Maybe we should take a longer view of CSCO,
as in the link below:

techstocks.com

Perhaps that reflects the true performance of companies like CSCO,
when you compare them against smaller entries in the same tradespace.
The old turtle and the hare argument, albeit a supercharged turtle.
Steadiness over time is what's really important in the long term.
