Maybe the White Sox will buy 'em (and then dismantle them). That would get them in first.

Wow! I have the highest respect for the owners of the Indians. They have consistently made all the right moves. They are AMAZING! Whether it's a stadium, management personnel, long-term commitments, player development, cripes, they just keep pressing the right buttons, much unlike the Cubs ownership, the Tribune (petueey!)

Now it looks like they are saying, "Okay, we smell a top in the market. Lets take our money and RUN!"

When the Washington Redskins are on SALE(?) for $800 million, you have to believe something is out of whack. How can you make money on a franchise when you pay $800 million?? If I was the McCaskeys, which is a small family that owns the Bears, I'd be on the phone right now taking offers. I mean, how much money does one family need to be happy?

Of course, maybe money isn't everything. But I'm sure I could find more happiness and satisfaction doing charitable work with my goobs of money rather than ordering jock straps and shoulder pads for smelly 300 pound football players.

And that's coming from a guy whose dream is to own a baseball or football team. Guess I better hope more than a few of my picks pan out<g>
