Ha, the reason I'm called Netconductor? Check out SI's David Zgodzinksi's article "Confessions of a Tulip Head" at techstocks.com

At the bottom, it describes how my postings to various stock boards probably had an effect on a small-cap Internet stock's runup. He mentions "I remember thinking that he sure picked the right handle
- Netconducter [oops, misspelled]. He was playing the Web like it was his personal violin."

That's cool, my name can mean someone who skillfully plays the Net to his direction. But actually, I came up with that name by thinking along the lines of an Electrical Engineer (which dominated my old school, Georgia Tech). dictionary.com says:
"(Physics) A substance or body capable of being a medium for the transmission of certain forces, esp. heat or electricity; specifically, a lightning rod...[www.m-w.com]...object easily transmitting energy.."

Basically, I spend every free moment of my life (well, almost) online. So the name Netconductor reflects my thought that the bytes flowing through the Net flow like the blood through my veins.
